The overall goal of the Kemoh Sidibay Rice farming in Kono is to enhance food security by increasing the availability of a staple food that is a key part of the diet in many regions. Our goal is to improve agriculture productivity through the adoption of Modern, farming, techniques, and technologies, thereby boosting yields and reducing dependence on rice imports. As part of our goal, our rice project will also seek to support the rural development in Kono by creating jobs and raising incomes for smallholder farmers and fostering economic growth at both national and level.
The Kemoh Sidibay Agro Project is cultivating rice on a 250 acres of land in swamps and up land at Biama upper Gbense in Kono District, the significant of Rice cultivation is at the heart of Kemoh Sidibay Agro Project due to its paramount importance globally and several interrelated factors that encompass food security, economic stability, employment generation, and cultural significance.
